Hi here is some information about South Africa. The capital city of South Africa is Cape Town. The population of Cape Town is  3.81 million. The climate in January  is 8 to 28 degrees Celsius. The capital city is located in the southern tip of continent. The common languages in South Africa is English and Afrikaans. Here are some facts about  South Africa. Table Mountain in Cape Town is believed to be one of the oldest mountains in the world and one of the planet’s 12 main energy centres, radiating magnetic, electric or spiritual energy. Some countries have deserts; some have subtropical forests, right? South Africa has: deserts, wetlands, grasslands, bush, subtropical forests, mountains and escarpments. South Africa’s drinking water is rated 3rd best in the world for being “safe and ready to drink”. South Africa is extremely rich in mining and minerals and considered the world’s leader with nearly 90% of all the platinum metals on earth and around 41% of all the world’s Gold! There are more than 2000 shipwrecks off the South African coast, most dating back at least 500 years.

Amphibious Walking Machine

This invention was initially created as a walking machine and then was tweaked in 1932 to become
amphibious. But neither of these are its main purpose now. What is the invention?

The invention is the first ever amphibious bicycle which was invented by Baron Von Drais.

Probaility And Statistics

This week we have been working on how we use probability and statistics to solve a few difficult problems. I found most of the work really hard, but made it in the end with the help of one of the members of my maths group. We got to make a probability scale to help us and let me tell you it was a fun experience because no one knew what to do. With a bit of research we got the work done within a week. I feel like I have made progress in my work.

                  

What Respecting People At HHS Looks Like!

For the past 2 weeks me and Hayley have been working on  a slide to explain about respect.

we had 4 choices of respect to work on, they were, People, places, property and beliefs.

We chose to work on people. We have been doing this in philosophy with Mr Scott.

My Opinion About Animals

I believe that all living animals should live a long and happy life and
not get raised horribly until they are just only adults then get killed
and turned into meat.

I think we should treat all animals fairly and only turn them into meat
when it either can't live much longer, is suffering or is dead.  

It is sad seeing animals being treated without respect and have to be
raised knowing that it isn't going to be given the long life it deserves.

As long as animals live and breath they should be treated with the
same respect as we get.

Just remember that this is my opinion of how animals are being
treated and I am not saying that everyone should believe that they
need to be treated the way we do.
