Conclusion:
Today 7/8Ts and 7/8Mt had science for hurumanu. We learnt chemical names for 10 household items, They are lemon juice, salt, sugar, vinegar, lemon bubbles, onion gas, baking soda, milk, cornflour and a banana. We had to write their common name, their chemical name, whether they are a solid, a gas, or a liquid.
The common name is lemon juice, its chemical name is citric acid, and it is a liquid.

The common name is salt, its chemical name is sodium chloride, and it is a solid.

The common name is lemonade bubbles, its chemical name is carbon dioxide, and it is a gas.
The common name is onion gas, its chemical name is propanethiol s-oxide, and it is a gas.
The common name is baking soda, its chemical name is sodium hydrogen carbonate, and it is a solid.

The common name is milk, its chemical name is aqueous, and it is a liquid.

The common name is cornflour, its chemical name is endosperm, and it is a solid.

Storyboard Creation

Today for art hurumanu we had to draw the storyboard. We had to write about the sketch we drew for the storyboard about manaakitanga. We had to swap storyboards with another group and give them a positive, helpful, and thoughtful comment about there storyboard.
Peer assessment given to us:
I like the wolf in the story, it reminds me of a cold night. Next time tell us about what happened after the wolf chased them into the cave.

Jaws of death-Paul Adam

Starting a week of reading I decided that would read for 10 minutes, for the ten minutes i read Max had already climbed into a shack with handcuffs on, and been locked in a wooden trunk. He had to escape the handcuffs, sack and wooden trunk before it burst into flames. Doing so he singed his clothes and half melted the soles of his trainers, but he escaped and made it out alive.Image result for Jaws of death by Paul Adam

Continuous Cricket, Fast & The Furtherest

Continuous Cricket is a modified game of cricket were you are put into 2 teams, the batters, and the
fielders.

Equipment:
  • 2 wickets
  • 1-2 bat/s
  • 2 balls (incase you lose one)

Setting up:

How To Play:
The class is divided into half the class. We are put into 2 teams, the batters, and the fielders/bowlers.
One of the batters faces the bowler, the bowler will pitch the ball and the batter must hit the ball as far as
they can for the best results. The batter has 6 runs, you can either get them by hitting the ball 1-6 times.
To score the run you must hit the ball then run with the bat to the “base”. You can get out by either the
fielders catch the ball on the full or with with one hand they catch it with only one bounce, or the ball hits
your wicket. The batter must run each ball even if they don't make contact with the ball.
The fielders must switch turns being the bowler. The bowler must have one foot on the “bowlers base”
and underarm pitch. The bowler is the only person who can try to hit the wicket. The bowlers job is
to get the batter out by trying to hit the wicket.

How To Win:

To win you must get the most amount of points. The most amount of points on person can get is 6.
