Is laughing good for you.

Today in Drama we watched a video of Mr. Bean, after watching it we had to write about what we found funny in the video. After that, we had to watch three of our own video and write about what made us laugh. The first piece of writing is what I found funny in video second the same but with video two and the same for piece three but with video three.

Video one was a vine and what I found funny about it was how the man got really scared and instead of just acting like he was scared he tried to cover it up by singing.
Video two was a group of vines about watermelons, I thought that this was so funny, I thought this was funny because he pronounced watermelons so weird and I also thought it was funny because of all the things he did with watermelons.

Tane Mahuta

Tane Mahuta

I have decided to make a slide show and edit it every week, so I can show you what we have been doing in Tane Mahuta. If you would like to look at what we did in week five go onto slide four.

Tane Mahuta

Tane Mahuta

For the past two weeks, we have had the opportunity to work in the garden behind the school grounds. We had a lot of work to do and we have ongoing projects to make the garden amazing.

For the first week, we were split into three grounds, the first group was working on cleaning up the Outdoor Classroom we have been planning. The second group was helping Mark trim the tree, making sure to trim all the branches that are either dying or are dead. The third group was helping Mr. Tisch with moving types, moving small planter boxes and moving tarpaulins.

After we all finished our projects we moved on to cleaning up the greenhouse, making sure that it was ready for remodeling. We had to clean out all the weeds and pile all the old wood planks outside of the greenhouse. Along the way, we found a bunch of rusted wood that we had to clear.

For week two of Tane Mahuta, the class was split into three groups. The first group was helping with the Outdoor Classroom, the second group was helping Mark tri the trees. Finally, the last group was helping Mr. Tisch with the planting beds.

Mr. Tisch created a line for us to dig in and turn the soil to make it lose. We used the shovels and dug down into the soil. We made sure that we dug down about shovel height.

Team Reflection

This week in our P.E Hurumanu we have been playing cross-court games in the school gym.

The focus of this week's activities was working in small teams of random people and see how we work

together.

Our activity was cross-court games. For this activity, I rated myself at level three. To achieve at level
three, we have to show that we can consistently contribute, include myself in the team activity. We also
use positive words to encourage our team and other people.

During the game of cross-court games, I showed that I am working at level three by contributing most of
the time when I tried I made sure I was trying my best, and I used encouraging words to support my team
and the team I was versing. These examples show that I have met the standard for level three.

While playing the Cross-court games, something that I found challenging was that in the first game every
like 10 seconds either someone from my team or someone from the other team would pick up the ball,
even if it was necessary. The reason I found this challenging was because we weren't able to play a
proper game, and we were all fighting because of it. However, I managed to overcome this challenge by
having to move on to the next game meaning they were not picking up the ball when someone went to
pick it up.

Another problem we had was that the two teams were not getting along, we were constantly arguing and
fighting about random things that would happen in the games. In the last game, we started to not fight as
much meaning we could enjoy a fun game of floor hockey.

Next week I am aiming to work at level four. To make sure that I am working at that level I am going
to work on involving myself in the games we play more, and trying to support my team some more.

Team Reflection

This week in our P.E Hurumanu we have been playing Floor Hockey and Six Corner Soccer. We have
been playing these in the Schools Old Gym, and we have been playing these to work on our teamwork
skills.

Our first activity was Floor Hockey. For this activity, I rated my self as a three.
To achieve at level three, we have to show that we can consistently contribute to the game and
sometimes use positive words to encourage my team.

During the first game of Floor Hockey, I showed that I am working at level three by participating every
time I went up, and by cheering on my friends Jasmine and Kahciar when they went up. These examples
show that I have met the standard for level three.

Our second activity was Six Corner Soccer. For this activity, I rated my self as a two.
To achieve at level two we have to show that we can sometimes make a contribution, and sometimes
we need the teacher to remind us to participate.

During the first game of Six Corner Soccer, I showed that I am working at level two by contributing some,
and not acting like I wanted to participate. These examples show that I have met the standard for level
two.

Next week I am aiming to work at level 4. To make sure that I am working on that level I am going to work
on contributing to the game more and cheering on my team some more.
